about

This album was largely written in grief, after the death of a person in our family. Grief, as you probably know, has a pretty large range of feeling contained within it. This album has a lot of scraps of hymns, sad music, raging music, attempts at ecstatic music. We made it at Mushroom Studios in Vancouver, because they had a room that we could all play together in. Most of this record was made with a huge gang of people playing together at the same time.
